One of the largest miniature parks in the world, Miniaturk opened in 2003 on the northeastern shore of the Golden Horn in Istanbul. The park features 120 models of structures from throughout Turkey. It is divided into three sections: Istanbul, Anatolia and Ottoman territories that today lie outside of Turkey.
The Istanbul section includes models of 57 structures, including the Aya Sophia, Rumeli Fortress, Suleymaniye Mosque, Tomb of Sinan, Beylerbeyi Palace and the Galata Tower, each built to scale at 1/25th of the original size.
The Anatolia section features 51 models, including the Sumela Monastery in Trabzon, the Great Mosque in Diyarbakir, traditional stone houses in Mardin and the Mount Nemrut ruins.
Finally, the former Ottoman territories section includes 12 structures, including the Mehmet Ali Pasha Mosque in present-day Cairo, the Mostar Bridge in present-day Bosnia and several tombs that can be found today in Romania, Kosovo and Budapest.

Dolmabahçe Palace, served as the main administrative center of the Ottoman Empire from 1856 to 1922. Dolmabahçe Palace was ordered by the Empire's 31st Sultan, Sultan Abdul Mecid I, and built between the years 1843 and 1856. The construction cost five million Ottoman mecidiye gold coins, 35 tonnes of gold, the equivalent of ca. $1.5 billion in today's (2013) values. The huge expenses placed an enormous burden on the state purse and contributed to the deteriorating financial situation of the Ottoman Empire which eventually slided into state of bankcruptcy.
Dolmabahçe Palace was home to six Sultans from 1856, up until the abolition of the Caliphate in 1924. The last royal to live here was Caliph Abdulmecid Efendi. A law that went into effect on March 3, 1924 transferred the ownership of the palace to the national heritage of the new Turkish Republic.. Mustaafa Kemal Atarturk, the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey, used the palace as a presidential residence during the summers and enacted some of his most important works here. Atatürk spent the last days of his medical treatment in this palace, where he died on November 10, 1938.
The world's largest Bohemian crystal chandelier is in the Ceremonial Hall. The chandelier, a gift from Queen Victoria, has 750 lamps and weighs 4.5 tonnes. Dolmabahçe has the largest collection of Bohemian and Baccarat crystal chandeliers in the world.
From the above, rumusannya
pembaziran tahap gaban!!!
Tapi, istana tu was veri veeri impressive ...
The walls of the palace tu, dibuat dgn batu
but, believe or not, lantai is from kayu!!
so, bila dok jalan tu duk bunyi krreeeek kreeek ...
macam umah m.i.l kat tingkat atas tu aje.
the tour was only +-1 jam jer.
lepas ni, menapak balik ke tram station
singgah kat Dolmabache Camii jap
kecik jer mesejid ni
Tpi, deco kat dalam tu,
rase cam x kena jer
kononnya ikut Barroque style from France ke mana ntah.
then, we walked back to the tram station
ok, stop cni duluu .... (◕‿◕)
